January 2009

-Sukiyaki Western Django* (R) (DVD) . . . 2 (A Japanese spaghetti Western by cult film director Takashi Miike; sigh, I think I'm getting too old for violence; or maybe it's just violence for violence's sake)
-Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (PG-13) (DVD) . . . 5
-You Don't Mess With Zohan* (PG-13) (DVD) . . . 3 (It's one of Adam Sandler's cruder films and I wouldn't recommend it to too many folks I know, but for some reason I can't help but really like the guy)
-Babylon A.D.* (PG13) (DVD) . . . 1.5 (Could have been good but was pretty bad, ack; did have some God-talk, though)

-The Abyss (PG-13) (CMC) . . . 4 (One of my favorite movies of all time; the scene between Lindsey and Virgil in the sub gets me every time; too bad the ending's not a bit stronger)

February 2009

-The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (PG-13) (DVD) . . . 2.5 (I rented this one for my kids, who are really into watching the Mummy movies right now; unfortunately, it hasn't gotten any better than the first time I saw it, sigh)
