The 2009 Atlantic Hurricane Season has begun four days early, with the formation of Tropical Depression 1 off the coast of Virginia (hey, that's where I live!). It's expected to reach tropical storm status (and, if so, will be named "Ana") within the next 24 hours, but she will twirl harmlessly out to sea.
