Here's the latest trailer for Race to Witch Mountain (which will play during the Super Bowl), a film this blogger's been following (hat tip to Peter Chattaway). Race to Witch Mountain is a modern take on Escape to Witch Mountain, one of my favorite films as a kid (and currently among the favorites of my 10-year-old daughter), which was adapted from a novel that had a surprising amount of God-talk (little of which made it into the first film). It's not really a remake (in fact, the makers call it a "reimagining") because other than two alien kids on the run, there's really not much similarity between the two films (and even less with the novel). How will it stack up? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
So Paul took his stand in the open space at the Areopagus and laid it out for them: "I'm here to introduce you to this God.... He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote; he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him!" ~Acts 17
