Periodically, the good folks at Mennonite Weekly Review graciously invite me to be one of the columnists who write 13 sequential weekly columns reflecting on the Scripture the denomination is currently using in its quarterly Sunday school lessons. This particular quarter is a survey of the New Testament "through the lens of community." If you're interested, currently posted are the first two of the columns I've written: Humble beginning (Matt. 1:18-25, 2:13-15) and The good life (Matt. 5:1-16 and the Sermon on the Mount).
So Paul took his stand in the open space at the Areopagus and laid it out for them: "I'm here to introduce you to this God.... He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote; he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him!" ~Acts 17
