Hat tip Peter Chattaway, who has some (as always) interesting reflections on the Bond reboot and franchise. Personally, I'm becoming more and more intrigued by the theme of vengence in this film, in particular, what choices Bond will make and what effects those choices will have on him and others--and the potential for a contrast of choices to be set up with the Camille (the woman in the trailer), who obviously has her own issues. I found Casino Royale a thought-provoking film (as well as entertaining), and I have great hopes that this Quantum of Solace will explore the theme thoughfully as well. Dealing well with themes like this have everything to do with good stories, which explore what it means to be human and live in the world and push us to examine what we believe and why, why we do what we do, and what roads our choices lead us down.
So Paul took his stand in the open space at the Areopagus and laid it out for them: "I'm here to introduce you to this God.... He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote; he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him!" ~Acts 17
