Most everyone has a film or two that they like so much as is that they never want to see it remade. Well, The Birds is one of those for me, so I literally groaned out loud when I read this recent blip from ComingSoon that Universal is in the early throes of remaking the Hitchcock film. While Hitchcock remakes are far from rare, I personally have never seen one that beat the original. Granted, I haven't seen them all, but still: it's Hitchcock, for goodness sake! And The Birds?! Well, let's just say I'm not the only one who thinks the original is beyond fantastic.Oiy.
