Years ago I watched Luciano Pavarotti perform on a PBS special, and I fell in love with opera. I'm still a complete neophyte, but there's nothing like those Saturday afternoons, windows wide open, with Pavarotti's tenor cutting through the breeze.Luciano Pavarotti died this morning at the age of 71. He was a true master with his gift. Would that I be as faithful and masterful with mine.
