Terry Mattingly has an interesting post up at GetReligion entitled Editing out the moral dimension, in which his ruminations stem from a New Republic piece which examines "how the mainstream media have, for some reason, become gun-shy when it comes to using moral language about issues of good and evil." In particular, the piece looks at how the media refers to Cho Seung-Hui, who shot and killed 30+ people at Virginia Tech last month.
