This morning's alarm clock was of nature's kind. We had a front blow through, with tornado sirens wailing shortly after the Weather Channel screen capture above. The lightening was brilliant--not that kind that flashes outside your windows casting shadows, but the kind that seems to defy walls and windows and enter right into the house, filling it with an instant splash of sharp white light. My barometer (a Christmas gift from my dear soul-sister Susan) was aching to spill its contents, but didn't quite make it.
So Paul took his stand in the open space at the Areopagus and laid it out for them: "I'm here to introduce you to this God.... He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote; he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him!" ~Acts 17
