Terry Mattingly's most recent GetReligion post, Ships sailing in opposite directions, is worth the read. Mattingly picked up two stories from different outlets (Mirror and BBC) and, with barely a word, sets the stage for a jarring juxtaposition. To whet your appetite, one story is about Eva Longoria's (Desperate Housewive's Gabrielle) special relationship with her sister (who has Downs Syndrome) and the other is about a mother hoping to win compensation for her twin daughter's survival of an abortion. Check it out if you have the time. Blessings.
So Paul took his stand in the open space at the Areopagus and laid it out for them: "I'm here to introduce you to this God.... He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote; he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him!" ~Acts 17
