Arthur C. Clarke died yesterday. Our humble library contains almost a dozen of Clarke's novels, among my favorite being the Rama series and, of course, 2001: A Space Odyssey (whose film sequel starred Roy Scheider who starred in a favorite movie of mine).
Now we're about to add to our library one more book associated with Clarke and another favorite author, C.S. Lewis. I don't think I even knew this collection of letters exchanged between the two existed until Peter Chattaway mentioned it in his blog. I just placed our order (and amazingingly got a hardback for about $6--including shipping--on Half.com) and look forward to reading it. As if I don't already have enough books stacked beside my bed and on the living room floor. Oiy.
