Tropical Storm Andrea?

Probably not. But, oiy, this storm off the coast of the Carolinas is a taste of the 2007 Hurricane Season, which doesn't offically start until June 1. Dr. Jeff Masters reports that winds are approaching tropical storm force, but it's unlikely the storm will be named, even at the subtropical level.

Curious about this year's list of names? Here they are: Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dean, Erin, Felix, Gabrielle, Humberto, Ingrid, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Noel, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van, and Wendy. My favorites? I like Olga and Sebastien for some reason (maybe because they are older names?). Pablo is nice too. Wendy makes me think of Peter Pan. And Ingrid makes me think of Casablanca ("I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy mixed up world. Someday you'll understand that"). Like that has anything to do with a storm off the Southeast Coast, heh.
