Another God-talking film

Comingsoon reports that Morris Chestnut (Boyz n the Hood, Ladder 49) has signed on to Not Easily Broken, a “faith-themed” film from Screen Gems adapted from Potter House pastor T.D. Jakes’ novel. The screenplay was written by Brian Bird, who also wrote FoxFaith’s Saving Sarah and Last Sin Eater as well as multiple television episodes. Actor/director Bill Duke will direct. According to Comingsoon, the story “revolves around a couple whose strength and faith are tested after the wife is injured in a car crash and the husband becomes attracted to another woman.” Woman Thou Art Loosed (which is still on my Netflix queue) is another of Jakes’ novels that made it to the big screen. Chestnut is also listed as executive producer for the Not Easily Broken.
