When I was in high school, we were convinced the world would end in 1988 (thanks to Hal Lindsey), so movies like The Omen (1976) played into our dispensational end-times mania. Probably thinking they'll cash in on the success of The Passion, Hollywood is remaking The Omen. While these kinds of films pique my interest, the suttlebutt on this one isn't good. But they've come up with a pretty clever marketing strategy: they're releasing the film on June 6, 2006. Get it?
